We’ve finally got a sneak peek of the new Super Nintendo World theme park and it looks brilliant.

Video game fans have been excited ever since the attraction was announced for Universal Studios, in Osaka, Japan, last November.

The only problem was they had to wait until 2020 for it to open.

But now they have been treated to images and video from the proposed theme park after work officially started on it.

It basically resembles a real version of the Super Mario games and features brick blocks, piranha plants and everything else you’d find in the strange computer game world.

The images were posted by the official Universal Studios theme park Twitter account.

There was also a video accompanying the release of the announcement, in which Nintendo legend and Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto made an appearance after a real-life Mario had completed a course.

As well as a Super Mario theme, the park will also feature Donkey Kong rides.

Nintendo described the theme park as ‘expansive, immersive and interactive’.
