FIFA pro quits after abusing ‘wunderkind’ who whooped him

Harry Hesketh, a pro with 700K followers, acted like a right gob-shite as he was beaten 10-0 by 14 year old.

The mad Everton fan and cheeky-chappy-chav was Twitch streaming in a European regional qualifying match on December 12th against Anders Vejrgang when the EA ban hammer came down for, among lots of other daft statements, making ‘your mum’ jokes at the teenager.

As a result, he’s also been dropped from the FNATCS FIFA eSports team.

Vejrgang is considered one of the very best FIFA 21 players out there, currently standing at 450-0 in FUT Champs matches, so it’s no surprise that he won.

Still, the early game was competitive, until the wunderkind went 3-0 up – at which point Hesketh pretty much gave up and eventually got booted from the match for not participating.

For the rest of the game, as Vejrgang raked up the goals, Hesketh got increasingly drunker and more irritable, taking out his frustration on his poor audience with ever more disjointed and mad sing-a-longs to the music he was playing in the background.

If you’re fascinated by such behaviour, you can check out a recording of the stream here:

To be fair to Hesketh, he actively encourages his fans not to abuse his opponent in the chat stream and keeps referring to him as a special player, which is laudable.

But despite his best efforts to maintain some composure, he bleats out excuses for why he’s losing along with flipping the bird and calling the 14-year-old shit for only ‘technically’ winning 3-0 as he had given up after that – as if the other 7 goals against him didn’t count.

In a later response to the whole embarrassing affair, Hesketh apologised saying he had made “one distasteful comment…His fingers might be quick, but mine are longer,’ and I made a reference to his mother…I know a UK base is going to be like, well it’s a mum joke, who hasn’t made a mum joke, and try to defend me. Don’t defend me. At the end of the day he’s 14. It’s a distasteful comment. For that I apologise directly to Anders and his mother.”

This contrition didn’t stop EA from acting however, as it banned Hesketh for a violation of it’s behavioural code of conduct, which states:

“Publishing, posting, uploading or distributing content, or organising/participating in any activity, group or guild that EA (acting reasonably and objectively) determines is inappropriate, abusive, hateful, harassing, profane, defamatory, threatening, obscene, sexually explicit, infringing, privacy-invasive, vulgar, offensive, indecent or unlawful.”

The Everton die-hard seems to have jumped before he was pushed, however, as he announced his retirement from FIFA competitive events. “I am announcing my retirement from EA competitive events, effective immediately…This is the biggest risk of my life, bar none. If I’m not competing, I’m not competing for a team. I’m deleting a three-year contract… my main income.”

As to what he’ll now produce for his 700,000 YouTube subscribers? Well, he could always try singing to them, but we reckon he’ll lose the lot if he punishes them with that.
