Hitman 3 gets a shiny gameplay trailer, locations revealed

Everyone’s favourite bald bastard shows off his next-gen chops.

Sometimes, especially during lockdown, life can be so frustrating you just want to kill someone, am I right? But not just murder, no, in your cabin-fever-crazy brain you want to meticulously plan every aspect of said murder, executing your plan with the cold precision of a contract killer.

If this is you, first off, don’t do it (that would be bad) and secondly, you’re in luck! As IO Interactive have you covered (at least in a virtual way) as their new game Hitman 3 is just around the corner.

As you will have seen from our Hitman 2 review, we’re proper fans of bald-headed murderers around here, so we’re highly anticipating the conclusion to the trilogy when it launches on pretty much every platform just over a week from now, January 20th 2021.

To get a flavour for the game yourself, here is the latest gameplay trailer (we’d share this from the IO YouTube account, but that vid has an age restriction filter on it, so here’s the uncensored IGN version instead):

Murder is all about location, location, location

Now that we have piqued your interest with that sumptuous trailer, full of ray-tracing and other such delights, let’s talk about where you’ll carry out your killings.

IO Interactive have announced the following locations for missions in Hitman 3:

  • Dubai, UAE
  • Dartmoor, UK
  • Berlin, Germany
  • Chongqing, China
  • Mendoza, Argentina
  • Carpathian Mountains, Romania
Merry old England

As for the story? Well to paraphrase the press release: “In Hitman 3 Agent 47, supported by his Agency handler Diana Burnwood, will join forces with an old friend, Lucas Grey. Their mission? To eliminate the partners of Providence, but be warned, things will get pretty intense along the way. When the dust settles, 47 and the world he inhabits will never be the same again.”

But wait, there’s more!

As the game’s are episodic in nature, if you already own the first two instalments, all the locations will be available to play with the enhanced looks you’ve just seen in the trailer for Hitman 3. That means you’ll have 18 episodes to play with bad-ass graphics and ray-tracing. Noice.

But the best news of all? IO Interactive have managed to squeeze all of Hitman 3 into just 80GB, making the entire package a lot more reasonable to install if you choose to take on the entire trilogy in one go. Especially good news if you’re dealing with a crazy fast but tiny SSD on a next-gen console.

Are you looking forward to Hitman 3? Murdered anyone lately? What medication have you been prescribed to help with this? Let us know in the comments below.
