Team Liquid’s Dota 2 roster for BLAST Slam 8 has emerged with a notable swap: Yeik Nai “MidOne” Zheng is set to start in place of Michał “Nisha” Jankowski, the mid-laner who has anchored the side at the top level. The change was not announced by Team Liquid but instead surfaced via BLAST’s full participant list for the tournament, published on 25 September.
According to BLAST’s listing, Team Liquid’s lineup for the event now reads MidOne alongside Michael “m1CKe” Vu, Adrian “Wisper” Cespedes Dobles, Samuel “Boxi” Svahn and Erik “tOfu” Engel, with William “Blitz” Lee remaining as coach. Wisper’s arrival had already been confirmed as part of Team Liquid’s post-International roster overhaul, in which the offlaner replaced Ace.
MidOne’s inclusion is the more unexpected development. It is not yet clear whether the 30-year-old Malaysian is stepping in for a single event or has been signed as a longer-term replacement in the mid lane, as no official comment on his role or on Nisha’s whereabouts had been issued at the time of the report by Esports Insider.
MidOne is a well-known name in competitive Dota 2, having previously played for Fnatic and Team Secret, where he won two Major titles and appeared at multiple editions of The International. His most recent stint was with MOUZ, with whom he won PGL Wallachia Season 6 before falling short of qualifying for The International 2026. He is reported to have over $2 million in career earnings.
The switch comes at what Esports Insider frames as a wider reset across competitive Dota 2 following The International, with several organisations adjusting their rosters heading into the new season, including changes at OG involving Topson. BLAST’s Slam series has itself undergone format changes this year as part of broader shifts in how Tier 1 Dota 2 events are structured.
Team Liquid are due to debut the reshuffled lineup on 29 September when BLAST Slam 8 begins. Whether Nisha’s absence reflects a short break, a longer step away, or a more permanent departure remains unconfirmed, with only an official statement from the organisation likely to clarify his status.
