Team Liquid have released Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek into free agency, Dust2.us reports. The move leaves a vacant spot in the organisation’s Counter-Strike 2 lineup. The Polish player had sat on the bench since July, when Liquid handed in-game leadership to Johnny “JT” Theodosiou.
No replacement has been named in the report. For now, Liquid are a player short.
siuhy’s spell with the North American organisation lasted 16 months. He arrived in April 2025 on loan from MOUZ and was given the calling duties straight away. That made him the successor to two high-profile leadership eras at Liquid, first under Casper “cadiaN” Møller and then under Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken.
His MOUZ background suggested he could bring structure to a side that had struggled to settle. The results never followed. Liquid’s best finish with siuhy in the team was a top-four placing at FISSURE Playground #2, a modest peak for an organisation of its size.
The Majors were where the shortfall showed most clearly. Liquid played in three of them during his tenure and failed to reach the playoffs at any. Across those events the side went 5-11 in matches.
siuhy’s own output also dropped. He leaves Liquid with a 0.87 rating across 185 maps. That figure is partly a product of the IGL role, which often costs a player individual impact, but it gave Liquid little cover when team results stalled.
Benching him in July was the clearest sign yet that Liquid wanted a different direction, and JT has run the team’s calling since then. Formally releasing siuhy now closes off any route back into the starting five and lets the organisation plan its next lineup around JT’s leadership.
The next step for Liquid is to fill the open slot. Whoever comes in will join a team still trying to make its first Major playoff run in the CS2 era under this rebuild. siuhy, meanwhile, is free to talk to other teams, with 185 maps of tier-one experience on his record.
