Are you looking to play a new MMO? Check out our quick list of some of the best MMO’s you can play right now.
Maybe you have been playing something like World of Warcraft for many years, and you have started to feel bored with it or outgrown it. In that case, you will want to go look for something else that is different and exciting to dive into.
In this article, we will give you a quick low-down on a few MMOs that can provide you with good and solid content to last you for many hours and months, if not years.Â
Star Wars: The Old Republic

Star Wars: The Old Republic is by now a pretty old game. It released in 2011 and has to this day remained active with varying success. Over the years it has received several expansions that give players hours upon hours of new content after completing the base game.Â
Star Wars: The Old Republic is different compared to many MMOs in the sense that it is much more story-driven and story-focused. Every piece of dialogue in a quest is fully voiced by unique voice actors. Each character and class have their own unique story arcs where you can make many different choices to shape the story as you wish. If the story is an important factor for you, then Star Wars: The Old Republic is definitely a game that is worth checking out.Â
Elder Scrolls Online

Many gamers are most likely familiar with the Elder Scrolls universe. After all, who has not sunk at least 100 hours into Skyrim? In the Elder Scrolls franchise, an MMO appeared in 2014, developed by Bethesda and Zenimax, and has to this day experienced a good degree of success. There are several expansions and DLC’s you can purchase or subscribe to, to expand your experience.Â
This game is also very story-driven and features fully voice-acted dialogue. It does not, however, give the same autonomy to make choices in the story as Star Wars: The Old Republic did. Elder Scrolls Online plays almost exactly as you would expect an Elder Scrolls game to do. You have very unique and diverse ways to build and customize your character’s skills and class. You have the classic crafting professions etc.
The only difference is that it is played in third-person mode. You can play it in the traditional first-person mode if you want to, but it makes a lot of mechanics from bosses and mobs difficult to react to.
Warhammer: Age of Reckoning

Now, the Warhammer universe and its goofy characteristics are known to many in gaming. The franchise has spawned an endless amount of different video games as well as a whole tabletop minifigure board game.
They also attempted to run an MMO. Warhammer: Age of Reckoning launched in 2008, but due to limited success they folded and closed in 2013. So, how do you play it? Luckily for us MMO fans there is a group of programmers and enthusiasts that are recreating the game from scratch and hosting it on private servers. This initiative is called Return of Reckoning and they already have a solid amount of content of the base game finished.Â
Warhammer: Age of Reckoning is a heavily PvP-focused game. A lot of the activities and progression systems depend on you going out and murdering your enemies. It is like an online casino of fun and games to get immersed in the classic Warhammer spirit of chaos and mayhem. The story and progression of the zones are also pretty fun and only add to the many great sides the game has. But if PvP is your main concern, this might be the most suitable MMO for you.Â
